Azerbaijan is one of those countries that go up ... and this pavilion is the most perfect example. It's beautiful, it's big, it is original and well done, with rich content ... enough to spend a long time!

 
This country is one of the cradles of humanity, and has long been a natural crossroads, biological, geographical, cultural and historical. Over the centuries, agriculture and kitchen have been enriched by these experiences. As a producer and exporter of authentic and healthy organic food products, this unique country has recognized the interest in protecting its territories and its natural and cultural heritage resources. The Concept
Azerbaijan is strategically located in Caucasia between the North, South, East and West, and is one of Mankind’s oldest cultural sites, a crossroads for history, culture, biology, nature and ecology. The awareness of its strategic location, cultural bridge between North and South, East and West, has inspired policies to protect the territory of this country, rich in natural, human and cultural resources.

Its individual interpretation of the theme of Expo Milano 2015: Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life is centered on thematic itineraries that aim to educate visitors on Azerbaijan as a great producer and exporter of organic, genuine and healthy products. It also seeks to promote the great historical and cultural traditions in the food industry and to introduce a new political vision focus on sustainable development, biodiversity and health for future generations.

The three biospheres that characterize the pavilion are a metaphor for a country that is successful in balancing and protecting its natural environment and its millennia-old traditions with today's fast paced world. The waving wooden walls that embrace the pavilion symbolize the territory's ever-present winds, and characterise the cultural and creative flow that has always run through it.

The pavilion created for Expo 2015, “Azerbaijan - Treasure 
of Biodiversity”, represents the unique natural and cultural heritage of this territory, which has always been a bridge between North and South, East and West.

The Azerbaijan Pavilion for ‪Expo2015‬ has been named “Azerbaijan, Treasure of Biodiversity” and reproduces the distinctiveness of the country’s natural heritage, forever a cultural bridge in the world.

The three biospheres that characterize the Pavilion are a metaphor for a country with a vocation for openness. 

The undulating wooden walls that enclose the pavilion are a symbol of the wind, a typical feature of Azerbaijan, and of the culture and creativity that have flowed across the country since time immemorial.
